Ooh, it's a long time since anyone went that far down the bank. Who/what was it?

Andrew Gunnell should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I think the last car to go over the bank was a Lotus Elan in 2004 opposite the ‘S’ Approach marshals’ post. Both driver and car were both OK, but I can’t remember who the driver was?

Yep, one of the rare examples of a safety call at Ess Approach, as he did it so gently. Brian Gray did a better job, although failing to remain with his vehicle for the full excursion. Before that, alhough there have been several over the edge (the change to the banking has been remarkably successful) the last one to make any reasonable distance was probably the Vision - Peter Harper IIRC - who made it nearly to the stream.

As an aside, I've just realized that the rearranged meeting now clashes with Bathurst. Wonder if we can rig up Motors Tv and a wireless internet connection in the campsite. Al? You've got a challenge!

edit: a bit of searching suggests it's the Nick Glazzard Lotus 51B. That's quite a trip for a small car. Trust the vehicle, and more importantly the driver, are in good condition. Must have been fairly scary to watch, and worse to be in.

Hmmmz... http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...=2001&doy=20m9 ? Wonder If Mr Raynor has any sneaky tricks along that line

To make matters worse, I think it also conflicts with Castle Combe Formula Ford Carnival

Ah well....

I think you're thinking of Brian Grey in the Hardy Special, July 2003. He made the cover of Motor Sport News.

A flight case mounted touring system with a streaming server and wifi transmitters?
Bit of an overkill though for the camping field though.
We could put a dish on the antenna mast in the farmyard I suppose.
Or on the front of Wooleys caravan.

The usual variety of interesting and probably medicinal algae. Jan made an interesting artistic effect by washing the bits she could reach.

Surely you can sort something out Chris? You do realise it maybe the last time we will see either Wales or England or both in the RWC?

The ice cream van man is going to the match and will be sending a locum to Shelsley.

As he is a Kiwi I suppose I can just about understand his reasons.

Erm... the bits of the caravan she could reach... Just in case anyone really needs that clarified.
