Unfortunately far too far for us to travel so instead I will be listening to lots of people singing on Sunday for the X factor... should be a laugh! (on first aid duty - not singing myself)

2 wins to Scott Moran, Martin & Paul had fuel problems in the second run-off, resulting in 'null point' for either, nice to see Jos Goodyear second in the second run-off. New class record for Scott in first run-off 49.38.

Young Goodyear must have been chuffed, that's his best placing so far isn't it?

I thought 'common tater'(Yorkshire joke) said he won a round a couple of years ago, but I could be wrong.
He would have been higher in first run-off but for a slide exiting Farmhouse. |

Jos has won a round in the past, I'm sure (I remember stories of Barry's partying), but still a superb result.
Nice to see Scott racking up the points early. Shame for Martin and Paul, though. |

On Saturday at Barbon he looked very wild but by contrast on Sunday he had calmed down and was certainly very smooth through Orchard and Quarry in the run-offs. Scott is really determined to make hay while the sun shines and was certainly shining at Harewood. The knackered fuel pump cost both Martin & Paul dearly. I was impressed with the pace of some of the 1600 & 2000 runners. James Blackmore, who is a Harewood specialist, did well to qualify for both run-offs. Paul Haimes was top dog in the 2 litre class and was chuffed to bits with seventh in the second run-off. Robert Kenrick had a really odd first class run where he spun at Country then two corners later drove straight on into the gravel on the outside of Orchard. He made up for it after the break with a clean class run & a couple of points in the run-off. Oh and Andy, the "common-tater" at Harewood & Barbon was the hillclimb guru Jerry Sturman who has forgotten more about hillclimbing than I'll ever know! |

I heard your name mentioned a few times, we don't see/meet the 'taters, if you're up in July, I am usually found in orange at Quarry, come by and say hello

I will pop over to the outside of Quarry next time I am there - I usually lurk on the inside! |
