Welcome to Tenths Stevie.

Is the Raptor the baby version of the Predator, designed to take a bike engine?

Chaps....?

Yes! In fact this is the 'customer' version of the Predator. It will be intersting to see how Junior gets on when the V6 has been installed as it might bring in more customer orders for that version.

Robbie Garden, who will be known to visitors to Doune, will be peddaling one this year and could be 'one to watch'.

It's a bit of a "glass half empty" thing to say. But if it's going up against Forces & OMSs, it better be a bit special.

If there were Concours prizes, it shouldn't have any problems winning them. Let's hope it goes as good as it looks.

Nice but ...

It does look rather large for an 1100, suppose we will not know until it is next to a Force and an OMS.

Will the Raptor be down at Loton Park next month for the test day?

Or is Harewood a more likely venue for its 'debut'?

I'm rather hoping the test days aren't next month...

March 24/25, FWIW.

Of course I meant March! However I can't wait! It should be a great week-end as I will be at Stoneleigh for Race Retro on Friday, Loton practice on Saturday and Harewood practice on the Sunday.

All credit to Graeme the car looks very nice, hopefully it will also have the sharks gills in the side pods as per the big car

The Raptor is what we are calling the 1.1L - 2L cars.
They are based on the Predator chassis but a little longer and higher to enable a taller driver, yet it is still a small car.
Front suspension is pull rod mono shock with a vertically mounted koni damper.
Rear suspension is push rod twin shock with vertically mounted koni dampers.
There is a alloy bulk head behind the engine that holds the lsd, rockers, dampers, rear points of the rear wish bones and the wing mounts, and is bolted to the engine on its opposite side. This gives the option of having any bike engine or changing the engine you have by just changing the tubular engine frame between the rear alloy bulk head and the rear chassis bulk head which has 16 location points to choise from.
The rear of the chassis is perfect for any semi stressed engine so a 2L engine would have no problem going on.
