Matt_Ring should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Autosport International 2010

Tickets are on sale now and was going to buy em but then thought about any discounts.

I know they offered a discount for this years show after a search of this forum. Anyone know if that is likely to be repeated for next years show.

If not might as well buy my tickets now...

I think that other forum run by Haymarket did some pretty good deals this year, 2 for 1 IIRC

Think you can go on the 'non public' days if you've an MSA number. Good way of avoiding the crowds but there's no live action arena.

There is Live Action Arena on trade days, but it has to be paid for, not part of any MSA/BRSCC etc entry.

I think ALL marshals should be allowed in FREE out of a token of gratitude for the service we provide. Just wanted to get that off my chest, does anyone else agree??????

Yes I agree, but what have Haymarket publishing got to thank you for, you don't provide them with a service.

But without marshals, there would be no racing. And without racing, there would be no Autosport. And without Autosport, there would be no Autosport International Show

But there are marshals and there is racing so there is an Autosport show.
Without drivers there would be no racing so I think we should get in free?

It all depends on who's doing "The Sid". Now that Flavio's got a bit of time on his hands...

Totally agree and I'm a marshal. So lets stop thinking we're more important than everyone else and pay like the rest.

Miss Pebbles should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I missed it this year as I'd been the 2 previous years and as said it is all the same, but I'll probably go again in 2010. If only so I can bump into a load of people I know and wont have seen for a while by then. Probably a hefty price to pay to gossip most of the day!
Having been on both public and trade days, I found the public day to be best, its busier of course but there's more happening

If you're going to attend, go on the friday for the Motorsport Safety Fund lecture. That's free to licence holders and marshals, or at least it was free when I went to see Martin Brundle give it.

Otherwise, it is the same old same old. Displays of stationery racing cars in exhibition halls and sycophantic interviews do nothing for me. Racing cars are meant to be seen moving quickly and to be driven by people whose main skill in life is to drive them quickly, and not to answer inane questions such as 'What are your prospects for next year Mr/Ms Driver ?'

What answer do these interviewers expect to get ?

'Oh, I've driven the car twice now and it's a right dog. I've got no chance of getting onto the 9th row of the grid and the sponsor has completely wasted the exhorbitant fee they are paying for us to put their name on this pile of dog mess'.

Hmmm, thinking about this, maybe I would go to hear that.

I agree-it's basically an industry trade show, and we are all part of that industry. Do you think that people in the motor trade pay to go to motor shows?
