Jonathon Palmer and Netton Lindgren at Snetterton in 91'

Palmer rams Lindgren off at Russell, Lindgren was quite clearly p****d off over this moment and showed it to Palmer by going over to him open his door and shout at him to which 'God' quoted

Julian Bailey and Will Hoy in the Toyotas at Silverstone 1993, the Gran Prix support race. Hoy was leading when Bailey made a rash move, hit Hoy side-on, causing the Toyota to roll, and 'God' to decleare that "the car upside down is a Toyota".

Or alternatively anything with Frank Sydner and James Weaver as team-mates.

You got the exact two I was going to say. But I had a specific Sytner/Weaver incident in mind. Silverstone '89. And since we're going for Murray quotes: 'There's going to be a brisk demand for BMW body parts tomorrow!'

Oooh! And the obvious one. Soper/Cleland '92. Silverstone again.

How about Radisich going to talk to Ravaglia at the Brands GP meeting in 1996 and being told were to go by Ravaglia, all in front of the Camera's.

Or Austin Rover pulling out of the BTCC in mid-84 because they were caught cheating and didn't like it.

Or another Sytner moment, being beaten by Mike Smith at Snetterton in 1988 and clearly not being happy about it.

I have to admit, that was very funny, as especially because Radisich showed up to Menu, who really deserved to be beaten like that.

Of course Palmer and Lindgren at Snetterton are hilarious, but as I've seen it so many times it's lost it's touch.

Oh- another one. The final round of the 98 season, Menu gets hit by Peter Kox like 5 times, and then Kox just slams into Menu at Abbey, making Menu moan and whine on the radio "He's just knocked me off again!", then Menu gets passed by Tommy Rustad (who in that race was in a guest drive for the Renault works team) Charlie Cox says it best-
"Tommy Rustad will be riding home to Mum saying 'Hey I just passed the defending champion Alain Menu and I nearly lost it in the process!'" Menu then says on the radio, "What do you think you are doing, huh?" Those have to be some of my favorite moments.

I think it was 99 if my memory serves me right at Oulton Park where Jason Plato, James Thompson and David leslie were battling for third when Plato made a move down the inside of both of them in the Laguna but on the straight Thompson who was along side simply decided to drive Plato of the road in one of the worst cases I have ever seen.
Plato was livid as he came into the Pits, ripped the mic out of the car and apparently went into the honda garage to wait for Thompson.

The amusing part of it was Thompson look bewildered as to why he had been thrown out of the race and told Charlie Cox he "simply didn't know" what had happened in the incident.
Good job Plato had been removed from the garage before Thompson arrived as his memory could have got worse with a large headache!!
The good old days.....

Regards

Guy

Any race with Paula Cook in.

I'm not a betting man but putting a "wager" on Ms P Cook retiring from every race was always a dead cert winner.

Menu vs Radisich was funny. But also Menu and Ravaglia at Brands in '96, when Ravaglia (aparently testing his new engine) got in menu's way on the last lap, and Kox nearly nipped through for the win.
Also in 1996, when Thompson won for Vauxhall in very bizarre circumstances at Snetterton.

JB&Q's impression of Frankie Chilli (is that how it's spelled ?) after the last round at Brands where, in the ****ing rain, he decided it would be fun to run onto the start/finish straigh and therow *all* his clothes into the crowd!

Either that, or Yvan Muller refusing to shake Jason Plato's hand on the podium at Silverstone this year...

How about 1994 when Paul Radisich pushed Jeff Allam off at Brands, Allam gets out of the car and slams the door, so hard you can hear it on the camera!

How about Paula Cook spinning on the last corner before the pits at Snetteron on her cool down lap after the one-shot showdown!!!

Knockhill 1994, Soper passes Menu at the hairpin, and Menu refuses to concede the corner and bashes Soper in the side, shattering his left-rear window! Take a look at Steve Soper's face on the in-car camera after it happened, it looks like he's laughing!

Yes, I remember that- "Tarquini goes through the chicane, up on the kerbs, AND ALMOST OVER!!"

He did that too at Donington in 1994, I don't remember what Murray said though.
