Put some number plates on it.

The major problem would be that it would have no hope of making it through the normal emissions tests in race-car spec.

There must be way, as the WRC rally cars are street legal.

Perhaps putting it through an SVA test like imports and Kitcars have to pass. You'd have to have safety markings on all the lights and windows for a start, get a handbrake fitted and a racing dashboard will probably have too many sharp edges and sticky-out switches to be legal.

you get modded cars on the road, but why not tourers? rally can and they spit fire from their exhausts

it might look cool to drive around in a touring car, but they are about 2inch off the ground and have rock hard suspension, it would be a nightmare to drive on our roads.

True Woody, It could be done but you'd have to almost completely rebuild it. It might be possible to register without SVA but I'm not sure...

Its not totally impossible, in CCC magazine last year, there was an advert for an ex-BTCC Vauxhall Cavalier make road legal. It was on a Q-plate, because ithe age wasn't certain. 1993 body with 1995 running gear and aero package.

It will probably be cheaper to buy the road legal version and just add all the aero bits to make it look like the racing version. Of course, you won't be able to brag it was the real thing, but it will be more practical.
