ERC RX new regulations:

False start in heat, semi or final, take joker twice. 2 false starts means exclusion. (reg. sport. 15.4)
The 'Germany final travisty' is tackled too, well, in a bookkeepers way it is; (gen. pers. 3.14.2b) An average jokerlap-time is added to the non-jokerlap-takers time in an early ended final.
Only 1 brand of tyres allowed.

WRX RX 2014 regs;

-FIA World Rallycross Champion and FIA World Rallycross Champion Team.
A 'team' is 2 cars (same make and model) and 2 drivers.
-Single tyre brand
-Blackbox mandatory
-False start in heat,semi or final, take jokerlap twice
-more championshippoints for a win in the final.

Glad to see they have addressed that issue; I thought that final was a pretty poor way end the season.

I see Solberg mentions a new "French engine supplier" for his 2014 campaign. I assume that means he will be running Oreca engines?

I see Rallycross360 are reporting (on Facebook) that Brian Deegan will be running in both the GRC and WRX in 2014.

Not sure how accurate a source Rallycross360 is (nor am I a particularly big Deegan fan) but, once again, I'm glad to see the potential for more OMSE cars back in Europe.

Pipo used to build the works engines for Peugeot in the 306 Maxi, indeed developed touring car engines aswell I think

Lydden are the dates right 24/25 May

Are these dates right as we want to head over and need to book flights etc
Was all ways run on the Sunday and Monday, now its Saturday and Sunday
Has the format changed because its a world wide series now?????

Saturday/Sunday should mean the second day isn't as spread out with long breaks as it was last year due to the Sunday noise restriction. Still wouldn't like to say if there will be anymore racing over the course of the 2 days than last year though.

To be perfectly honest from what i ahve seen of him, his attitude shows on track

He has little regard for those around him and treats his cars like dirt.

At least his brother has embraced the sport, Henning has always had a chip on his shoulder.

Shame, being so much slower than your brother eh. lol

Henning wasn't too far off the pace in a competitive field at Loheac, partiuclarly as he had an underprepared car that was overweight. However you've got to expect that everyone else has moved on too.
