Panizzi gets a 60 second Penalty.
Gilles Panizzi's 2003 WRC Season comes off to a rough start when the Stewards gave him a 60 second penalty for not informing them of a problem with his car during a shakedown. Peugeot have a right to appeal the penalty that would stay Panizzi for the Monte Carlo rally win.

They aren't gonna appeal. I heard interview on rally radio with Peugeot team boss Provera. He said Panizzi deserverd the Penalty. So he's three mins down plus 1 min penalties at the moment.

The penalty was for a malfunctioning GPS system that apparently must be live during the reccy. Burns had the same problem but as he notified the officials he was not penalized

I was going to put a bet on him to win. Thank God I didn't; still there's always a possibilty of a fight back.
