Interesting that Antinucci is racing under the Italian banner - he's always been 'American' previously hasn't he?

Yes, but the "grandparent" rule is in operation.

Britain are runnig Robbie Kerr for the full weekend.

If he got injured it'd be force majeure and Lloyd could go in.

The countries who've listed two drivers will probably give both a run in practice - GBR decided it was best to concentrate on one

Looks like the "My Dad owns the franchise" rule is in Operation too. Second in Brands and then throw it away...

Is Salvador Duran busy elsewhere this weekend as well?

mbathshah has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
same with India - why not let Karun get the practise in rather than let the franchise owners son (a 3rd rater) go round 3 secs off the pace. Makes a bit of a mockery of nation v nation and seems it is a lot easier to buy a drive in A1GP than F1 You just need to be the son of the Franchise Holder - forget the talent!

Matt Halliday is busy driving the 1000 at Bathurst this weekend but apparently he would much rather be in Germany.

there is a thread in the V8 forum about this.

My sentiments exactly, 2nd in the series to flopping about over 3 seconds off the pace. Great stuff team Jones!

The problem for Australia is that Will Davison is at Bathurst and Will Power is busy elsewhere.

Very sad that we (Au) couldn't find a driver on the pace... But hopefully one of the Will's will be available for the rest of the season...

True, but while Daddy owns the ticket his SLOW son will always win over the fasters drivers. True the nominated drivers for Team Aus were busy with other races, there are faster and better drivers than Christian Jones in Australia

Jones is very much the number 3 driver in the team - I don't imagine you'll see him race the car again

1) Bathurst
2) Japenese GT doesn't finish untill the 5th of November, and even then i'm not sure that Toyota would let him. But I don't know that for sure.

Short sighted surely if that is true. How much is re-establishing your name on the world stage worth?

drivers

If a team has only one driver and he is injured or for any other reason can't drive....what happens?

I'm sure the teams are contractually obliged to still put a car on the grid. I suppose they have to find someone else in a hurry ?
