Nice to see it finally as a proper concern not just as a dream on paper. Just waiting on the Creation coupe to be real and 2010 ( earlier if poss ) will be a proper race with proper race cars!

I prefer the Lola front over the "single seater" front of the Peugeot and Audi.

Like the Peugeot a narrow cockpit?

I wonder if the B06/10 bodywork on the nose/sides is just temporary? I would think that between 2006 and now they would have come up with some different ideas for how to lay all of that out.

Yeah it is definitely based upon the current Lola bodywork, no doubt about it!

There is not much information really but the article focus lends a clue: The model is built for CFD/aerodynamic testing. Maybe there is a strong level of method in keeping existing bodywork common for comparison sake.

Surely there will be a lot of changes to the chassis underneath to accomodate the doors.

But 3 cheers to Lola for taking the initiative with the closed car. It looks great and hopefully the wind tunnel numbers stack up well for them

So, current open cars will continue into and beyond 2010, but will current coupes also run beyond 2010?

Presumably current cars, both open and closed, will be performance balanced with the new 2010 coupes, which we expect to have a much cleaner look, and generate less downforce.

Wasn't the design of the Lola/Multimatic/Krohn(=Proto-Auto)-Daytona Prototype supposed to come out in May as well?
Any news about that project?

With Lolas history of building nice cars, this might just become the best looking DP...

Never forget that there's Scarlett Johannson-georgeous and girl-from-next-door-georgous. While Scarlett may be close to perfect, the girl from next door who has a few pounds too much on her hips and some bigger curves can as well be very nice to look at... especially if dressed in the right way!

Lola have tended to follow each design on from the last. The current cars follow on from the the B01/60, which in turn was developed from lessons learned with the B2K/40 and B2K/10. RML and Charouz have shown the current cars can mix it in both LMP1 and 2. If this new cars follows on their concept, their is no reason to doubt it.

Oh, and I love the way the Lolas look in general.

Also after the prescribed amount of refreshment derived from hops! A 2 at 10, can be a 10 at 2

Could the 2008 Lola DP "look" like the B08/60? I think so. It is a good point that Lola will be developing the LMP Coupe at the same time they are developing the DP.

Not possible due to the differences in the 'greenhouse'?

The greenhouse might look different on the DP but the front clip could look very similar to the LMP. We should find out soon i would think.

Pretty sure DP regs don't allow pontoon fenders and valence panels and that is one of the primary things driving the Lola's looks. The mandating of front mounted radiators leaves a paucity of solutions hence a generic look.

potential customer?

The A1TM collaboration with CRS in the 2007 season is a precursor to a full Malaysian Le Mans programme in 2008.

alex yoong hopes to have the same line-up for le mans next year.

The car had the fastest race lap of any gasoline LMP1 car.
