gp2 Bareclona rounds 7 & 8
sorry this thread is late. We have Calado on pole for Saturday's race and there was someone mad because he was blocked during his flying lap.

Van der Garde was the mad one as he was blocked in the 1st sector and normally we get people looking into it

Missed race 2, in the feature van der Garde simply jumped them with earlier faster pitstop. Nobody able to overtake him, Coletti was catching up super fast but did nothing once he caught up with van der Garde and Calado. To be fair, GP2 racing is kind of boring even with these new tires. May be they should skip the pitstop for the first race.

i think it's daft that in a series where actual tracktime is at a premium, they introduce tyres which mean that like f1, they have to save the tyres rather than actually go out and practice during practice sessions.

So even more advantage for the ''old'' ones : Valsecchi, Van der Garde, Leimer, Razia, Chilton, Ericsson... |

Seriously though - I can't understand why Ericsson has been so poor this year. And I can't understand how Max Chilton has been a consistent front-runner! |

Calado was on a charge, and probably was the fastest man out there, but he was blocked behind Valsecchi for pretty much the whole race, and he finished 4th. Same scenario as Coletti in race 1, in fact. Very hard to pass here, if it's not for DRS-style gimmicks. |
