A great man and an inspirational engineer. Very sad news.

This is really sad. I had the great pleasure of meeting Alan at Formula Student many a time and he spent about an hour just chatting to our Vehicle Dynamics Engineer about suspension. My best wishes and thoughts are with all his family and friends. RIP Alan

I had the great pleasure to join Alan whilst walking the track at Teeside last year before the Auto66 sprint. Such an affable and approachable man who would never hesitate to offer his advice and share his expertise. He will be deeply missed.
