There was a rather nice white pug that looked a bit damaged are you sure you're not mixing the two up?

It's Stephen's camera - it's faulty!!

He must be using some sort of filter!

Am I running out of excuses?

No I know why you are so reluctant to write reports Mark

I did wonder on Sunday, after I got on Post, if I was at the right circuit because of the twelve of us there eight are Oulton regulars and one of the others should become one during this season.

PS Thank you Peter for my raffle prize sorry I was so late collecting it.

Very good point and well made except that...........

it was the Observer and yellow Flag marshal who noticed you !!!!

Me thinks their jobs entitle them to have their backs to the traffic ???

Glad to be of assistance! However I have to say that they lied to me.

Earlier in the day I was trying to establish that if there was going to be a startline shunt just exactly WHERE it would happen So I tried speaking to some drivers who all pointed in the region of the 100m board just before post 2. Well they were 50 yards short of it weren't they?

Ah well, at least they were OK.

My funny incident must have caused great confusion and consternation in Race Control. One of the Formula Juniors (number 24 to be precise) came into the pit lane, through it and out the other end (past the red light!), so I radiod in just as he came to a halt on the grass just after the pit exit. I took a gentle stroll along to see what was amiss and apparently he had total brake (brain?) failure somewhere up by the hairpin and only came to a halt when he hit a bump in the grass!

Anyway, where were you all? I managed to meet the ones I already knew and the ones I was on post with, but nobody else new. I told you we needed an official 10-10ths meeting point, just like they do for school trips. And the similarity probably wouldn't end there!

Hmm, an observer looking away from the traffic.. That would explain things..

Anyway, having spoken with most of the start crew, none of which could even be bothered to reply to the original posting I would like to thank you for the 'extraordinary' efforts you have put into watching out for the wellbeing of your adjacent marshals. It's always good to know that you and the observer mentioned will be watching out for us.
