yeah it did look a bit nasty slippery stuff when we popped over from 9.

Also called ethylene glycol, ethylene alcohol. a colorless, sweet liquid, C2H6O2, used chiefly as an automobile antifreeze and as a solvent. Also called diol. any of a group of alcohols containing two hydroxyl groups.

and thats the information bit on it

just caught up with this. Post 8 team were brilliant all weekend, and whenever we looked over at post 9, they all seemed to be asleep!!
and yes, it were b**** slippery and took lots of clearing up. Messrs Bell, Leslie and Whitmore were not amused even though we let them play on our beach!

Just because I was first on scene is nothing, (maybe I moved too quick and maybe I should have grabbed a bottle on route) I couldn't have remained where I was without the guys putting out the fire I would have had to leave Martin on his own. The back up from Post 3 was good as well as two powder and two foam bottles had been used. Basically a good show of British marshals doing what we do best, not fogetting the rescue crew who as always calmly dealt with the situation and extricated the Martin from a very crumpled Bizzarini.
found another pic this morning

hope it's ok to post, other brother grim is still going on about his marshals box & still picking bits of dirt out of everywhere!!!!!!

Just watched the Revival on ITV 4 and have to admit it looks like a cracker of a meeting, and something I would really like to Marshal at.

A few words of warning:-
If your not bringing your own bed book early like NOW!
People book this year for next in the accommodation stakes.
But there is a marshals camp site with showers etc but only portacabins but everything you need.
So see you in the Deep South next year.
19th, 20th, 21st September subject to conformation Re F1 dates.

Another warning:- book up for the three days if possible, as you will stand much more chance of getting the meeting if you do. You could get in if you only put down for two days, but only put down for one and you have more chance of getting into a snowball fight in hell.

Only been living down here for two years prior to that had all sorts of accommodation, used to do build up as well so it was a week not three days.
Last three years before moving had the use of a residential caravan, Ah luxury!!
