Help ID a Cooper Please!

Hi,

Im trying to ID this Cooper. I believe that it was originally a Formula 2 car that at some point has been used in Formula 3. The thing that sets this car off is the modified rear suspension, and possibly the vent just forward of the wind screen. Im fairly certain that the car was originally red, but that may not be the case.

It may have spent most of its life in England up until June of 1989. From there on it has been in America, with known history.

Not surprisingly the serial number is also in question.

Cheers,
Leo
