goodwood fos shuttle bus

hi all, just been reading the final instructions for the fos this weekend and was reading about the shuttle bus. it says the bus will run from the start line to molecome corner then to the camp site. im i right in saying that marshals that are high up the hill will not be picked up like in previous years? im on finish 2 and i dont fancy walking all the way down the hill every evening.
can anyone tell me if this is the case or i have just misunderstood the instructions

thanks Jon

A fair walk away.......But at least its downhill...

I think the problem with picking up marshals from the higher reaches of the hill at the end of the day is there is so much traffic up and down the hill it is often quicker to walk...

I know I have walked from in front of the house and been at the campsite at the top of the hill before the shuttle bus on occasion...

Its not possible to please/accomodate everyone all of the time unfortunately..

Its all downhill from finish 2 to Molecombe so you dont need to do too much training

You driving a mini bus Steve?

Keep an eye out for me trying to collect radios.

On that note i will NOT be collecting from top Paddock as normal, I will be going down the hill immediately in front of the course closing car so if you have a radio stand trackside and i will collect it from you there.
If i do not collect it from you trackside you will have to return it to course control yourself. I will not be hanging around for hours to collect one radio!!

rant over.

Just make sure you get all of us on post one then Stephen, or I'll get into the back of a pick up again and you know what happened last time I did that!

Thanks to Stephen Green, Richard and the other shuttle bus drivers for the quick turnround, once the buses had been delivered at the end of the day. Also to Goodwood Estate who opened up a couple of fences to provide "cross-country" access to campsite from behind Moulcomb following traffic flow concerns on Friday.

Yes well done to the mini bus drivers - Friday was a bit of a farse but the bus we got on Saturday would have done a good time on the rally stage
