xbox 360 help

hiya guys i have a 360 and have virgin media broadband with an ethernet acble coming out of it...do i simply plug this into the xbox rather than the pc to get the internet on my xbox working(once iv signed up for my free month then paid the subscription i mean)!

ah, right, if you go into the box that your 360 came in, there should be an ethernet cable. Now, I dont know about this cos i went the wireless way, but I think you plug it in somewherearound the modem/router/computer area...

If that was helpful at all, then you should be given a prize!

If you have broadband then you may have a router, if you do, then plug one end of the ethernet cable into the router and the other into the PC. If you do it this way, and your PC isn't wireless, and you don't have any other spare cables/slots, then you will have to change the wire around when you want to play xbox/go on PC.

If you do have two ethernet ports on the router, then use the one ethernet cable for the PC, and the Xbox will have come with one, just use that and plug it in .

If you don't have a router, or a router within distance of the Xbox, you can plug the Xbox ethernet cable into the PC

hmm

i think if i unplug the lead from the virgin broadband model and plug the lead to the xbox istead of pc it should work...im not sure.. my pc used to work on the usb cable but no more hmmmmmmmmmm il go to maplin and askt he experts

If you have an Ethernet cable and a USB cable that will reach, then that's perfect, just use the ethernet for the XBox and USB for the PC.
