Racenut should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
GT3 firewall position

A few years ago I heard that one of the front engined GT3 cars moved the firewall to allow the engine to be further rearward. I think it was like 50mm.

Either BMW or Aston Martin from memory.

Does anyone know if that was true?

A bell sort of tingles way back in my head. I think it was the DBRS9?
However, I wouldn't be surprised if that is done on a regular basis nowadays. I can't recall reading anything in the rules that forbids it, other than cost.

I seem to remember some sort of controversy, surrounding the first version of the BMW M3 GT2 cars in the ALMS.
