Goodwin tests barwell Astra!

Tom chilton and chris goodwin have both been testing the barwell 2001 spec 888 built Astras this week at Cartagena in Spain. is this a hint he will be chosen over Kaye and graves i wonder?

I don't think so. I think Barwell will try to go with proven experience. Goodwin is a little unproven right now and wouldn't be the best choice as your #1 driver.

I thought Barwell had a deal with Synchro whereby whichever of Kaye and Graves doesn't get the Barwell drive will drive a Synchro Proddy Honda alongside Dave Allan

Chris Goodwin certainly isn't lacking in experience- it's just a long time since he raced a touring car, something like 1994 if memory serves. He's mostly been racing sportscars/GTs since.

If he does get the Barwell drive, he'll do a good job for them, and his presence would certainly help Mr Chilton

Sure, but look at the years James Kaye has driven and the success he's had.
