Couldn't agree more. I am becoming a fan more than just a SUPPORTER.

Brilliant!

It was a great drive, makes Martin's comments in qualifying about his efforts to get what he can out of the car seem silly!

What did Martin say? I'm not in the UK.

He said words to the effect (I'm sure someone can quote exactly what he said in qualifying) that it was pointless Jenson pushing so hard when he would lose 10 places anyway, implying that he was wasting his time pushing for a good lap.

Martin was coming at it from the angle of, it's better to start at the back with a full tank.

He admitted today he was surprised how much fuel Jenson actually had in the car, so to be fair to Martin he effectively conceded he was wrong.

If he said it I'm disappointed.

Even if you know you'll lose places you should always do your best.

What Brundle said on Saturday was that he thought they should have fuelled him up more, rather than going for a quick quali lap (because his time suggested he was running light).

As it turned out, and as Brundle said in race commentary, it was only in the race we discovered how brilliant Jenson's quali lap was - carrying 5 laps or so extra fuel to give them flexibility in pit strategy and still only 3 tenths down on Michael.

KB and Garcon have got it right, but i sensed a slightly patronising tone from Brundle on saturday on Button's lap. But, in fairness to the bloke, he did back track on Sunday.

Brundle thought like the rest of us were surprised that Button's time could come from running a lot of fuel. I see nothing wrong, all previous experience would suggest it was unlikely that it could be that fast with five extra laps.

As long an Brundle keeps calling it sensibly I'll be happy, better than inventing something that is unlikely just to make it more interesting (naming no names )

Brundle had already 'backtracked' by Sunday grid walk. He said something like 'watch this man' in reference to Button's fuel just after interviewing him on the grid. I think by then Martin had heard a whisper.

I thought he should've fuelled up and started form the pitlane with fresh tyres, but I guess I was wrong. In the last 2 races we've seen both approaches work, which is interesting.

It was a superb display from Jenson, and a well-deserved podium for everyone. Wouldn't it be great entertainment if Taku had an engine penalty?

I think they may have caught up with McLaren.
Reality is that no team probably had anywhere near the record engine blow ups as Honda did last year.
I am sure they will be better from here on - especially with them limiting Taku's engine

Another thng that's worth considering, though, is whether Honda ran the replacement engine at higher revs than usual, knowing that it didn't have to last as long, which might explain why jenson was faster than ever?

I doubt that, Boots.

The first one blew up after fewer laps than a race distance, so turning up the wick on the replacement would've been a tad foolhardy.

They might've done it as a calculated risk thoguh, especially if they knew what the original problem was. Even if the engine had failed, they'd've come out of the weekend with a lot of positives. I'm just not convinced that Jenson's massive pace advantage over Taku was natural, or that BAR have made enough progress to be this fast.

I think its more to do with the chassis. Taku was pretty quick but the chassis looked like it was doing all the work. The way it stuck when he ran down the dirt before pulling the move on Trulli suggested grip was way up there.

I think at the end Button just (as he generally does) got the best out of the package.
