Which 2004 Driver Currently Unconfirmed, Should be In 2005 Lineup?
Which of the 2004 drivers who are not currently confirmed as 2005 drivers would you most like to see in the 2005 lineup and WHY?
You're choices are: RHR, Gonzalez, Haberfeld, Servia, Phillipe, Marques, Valiante, Besnard, Smith, Gidley. Last edited by Snrub; 1 Feb 2005 at 21:53. |

I had to go with Servia. But man! That was a tough question!
RHR is a race-winner. Haberfeld drove the wheels off his Reynard, I'd love to see him in a Lola. Valiante deserves a chance. And for what I saw of Besnard he was quite impressive. |

Will I be lynched for pointing out that you left Carpentier off the list? (joke)
It's between Hunter-Reay and Servia really, but my chocie was Ryan, although I guess it's an ambiguous one as Ryan does claim to have a drive lined up, he's jsut not telling us about it yet. Certainly Servia would also be a big loss, Haberfeld has been quietly impressive for 2 years, Gidley is deservedly popular, and Valiente has a lot to offer. |

To many choices and not enough votes/seats. I voted for Valiente because I am pretty sure Servia and Hunter-Reay will get a seat.

So when we believe what "Mister F" was talking about in his last interview it seems to be sure that we will see RHR back... an now we knew that CdM is confirmed there are only six seats available... my first choice is Servia... but I agree with Boots that
Haberfeld and Valiante should get a shot too. The point is which team for RHR... at the moment only Rocketsports has to offer a comparable seat to HVM... hmm... or a third Forsythe car. |

I voted RHR because he would, in my estimation, be best for the series. But I expect that Valiante is the most deserving of those who have not had a shot at it.

For me it was easier to choose who should not be there, Smith, Phillipe, Marques, and yes Gonzalez not even my Mexican pride is good enough excuse for me to keep him.

I would love to see Michael Valiante in the series after hearing rumors about him for so long, and I really started to like Mario Haberfeld when he joined the series...
but I had to vote for Hunter-Reay. I agree that he is good for the series and it would be terrible to lose him. |

RHR, Servia and Gidley are who I would like to see in a seat. Realistically we are probably much more likely to see Haberfeld than Gidley considering Memo's other commitment.

Say Mark Taylor doesn't get the drive at Access in the IRL, could he creep over to The Champ Car World Series?

Servia, RHR or Gidley would get my vote. Definetely the first two, since Memo seems to have something going in Grand Am now.

I'm not 100% convinced on RHR yet. As important as he may be for the series, I would be devastated if Servia again found himself without a ride.
Would also like to see Valiante and Haberfeld with rides. I thought Besnard did a good job too, but unfortunately we won't be seeing him back anytime soon. Last edited by mac; 6 Feb 2005 at 22:47. |

I rate Servia more than him, bit I voted Hunter-Reay because of his value to the series.

Haberfeld. He just needs a Lola to show what he's capable of.

It's vital that Ryan isn't lost from the series, considering the potential he's showed and the popularity he's built up - in reality he's not at risk in the same way as Servia or Haberfeld. Valiente deserves a chance as well.
