Invincible should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
XJR15

Just reading AUTOSPORT'S Great Cars article and this week its the Jaguar XJR15, I have seen there was a one-make one-off series for these cars in 1991 at Monaco, Silverstone, and Spa, I would like to know the results of these races (I know who won Monaco Derek Warwick, Silverstone Juan Fangio II, and Spa Armin Hahne), I would also like to know what was going on with the cars, the drivers were so worried if they just scratched as John Nielsen pointed out

So what happened?, who drove in the series and who was champion or was it just one of those one-off series' where there is no champion at all!

invincible

Can't help too much, but I know that Bob Wollek was 6th at Monaco, 2nd at Silverstone and 5th at Spa.
Armin Hahne was declared champion of the series, entry to which was compulsory if you wanted to buy one of the cars.

Not quite sure what you mean by 'the drivers were so worried if they just scratched', but the series had a terrible reputation for bad behaviour!

Incidentally, XJR15's are supposed to be phenomenally difficult to drive, and easy to spin even in a straight line under unwise throttle application!

Below is what I found at Darren Galpin's site on the second race at Silverstone, Invincible. Of the first and second race nothing more than already mentioned.

Quote:
Sixteen XJR-15 cars will form a multi-million pound grid for the second round of the JaguarSport Intercontinental Challenge, a support race this weekend. Two 30-minute practice sessions will allow the drivers to learn the new 3.2-mile Silverstone circuit. The 20-lap race follows Sunday's F1 GP. Derek Warwick and Bob Wollek lead the drivers' standings after round one in Monaco, with the final of the three-round series at Spa on August 25. The owner of the winning car overall will receive a cheque for $1 million.

Jaguar Sport International Challenge (XJR 15) first qualifying:
1 C Euser Hol 1:56.49
2 D Warwick GB 1:57.10
3 I Flux GB 1:57.21
4 A Hahne Ger 1:57.79
5 D Leslie GB 1:58.05
6 D Brabham Aus 1:58.10

Jaguar Sport International Challenge (XJR 15) final qualifying:
1 D Warwick GB 1:55.50
2 D Brabham Aus 1:56.16
3 C Euser Hol 1:56.49
4 I Flux GB 1:56.57
5 B Wollek Fr 1:56.74
6 J Fangio II RA 1:56.75

Jaguar Sport International Challenge (XJR 15) race results:
1 J Fangio II RA 39:46.74
2 B Wollek Fr 39:50.05
3 I Flux GB 39:56.32
4 D Leslie GB 40:05.68
5 A Hahne Ger 40:15.50
6 T Needell GB 40:19.92
I also found one XJR-15 for sale with full description and mention of it being driven in the series by Bob Wollek. And that's all I could find. Hope it helps.

Brilliant, sat. Where did you find those results?

I notice a pretty strange 1 sec difference in the winner's race time with Darren's results. Probably a typo?
