Quite good show at navarra! This is promo Ratel needed time before... Tough Beijing was even better, but enough promo for me.

Nothing new, they tend to perform those promo sessions / street demonstrations on every other country they visit... you only need to take a look at FIA GT photo archives to realize that

Dino Lunardi in for Ren Wei at Exim Bank Team China

No Alexey Vasiliev at Aston this weekend, so it will be Leo Machitski and Max Martin in the 7 car.

Qualifying race is at 7.30pm local time.

As usual I find the time schedule for the race weekend incredibly hard to find on the gt1world pages. Anyone know when the quali race and the chap race starts?

Brilliant scheduling again - nearly a 12-hour gap between the start of FP1 and end of race 1 on same day. Almost as funny as some of the LMS timetables for Portimao 1000km in the past...

Leo replaces Alexey only for this round. Vasiliev has to be in Moscow as some important meeting at Russian Railways (that ржd logo) is held.

And, yes, I've been searching time-table for ages at that site.

Glad I'm not the only person who couldn't find the timetable. I had to look on their Facebook page to find the link.

I've no problem with them just having the video coverage online but they really need to have simple info such as "what time is the race" on the first page of their website in BIG LETTERS.

Rumours: fire extinguisher broken at Aston#7 and power steering hose bursted, Aston#6 had another blown up engine.

Ratel seeems to solve certain problems and to ruin another each year, This year they made a great web, but we've lost direct connection (Gt1tv label)to the streaming so non advanced folks, will never know where the races are aired , same for timetables and the link to The World Clock – Time Zones...

Jesus, that was one hell of a race. That battle for 4th-8th was amazing, 3-wide into the front straight! Very happy to see Mclaren 1-2 too! (even though it'll mean BoP very soon). I think this is the first EVER win for the MP4-12C GT3 in the world! And from the back of the grid too! They're gonna have a very nice position for the Championship race! The racing was super close but very clean. Kox is gonna be very dangerous next round!

Also, very pleased with the livestreaming on Youtube. Stable, good quality, and a live comment box!

Fantastic race! Finally, the McLaren comes good and Hexis pulls off a dominating 1-2. I also want to know if there was any BOP break for the McLaren this weekend. Also good to see the Z4 come from pit lane to 3rd. And that 5 way battle towards the end with the guys going 3 wide was extraordinary.

Z4 was fast too. From the pit-lane to the podium - BoP is coming for them. As for Ford, GT was always good at twisted circuits and lacking power, wasn't it?

Unfortunately, speed don't matter if you don't have the reliability to finish the race...

Yes, great to see Sunred get their Ford GT s--- together. Milo jumped the start nicely and was closing on the 4th place 458 when he trailed off.

I've been wondering for quite awhile...can you or some else briefly explain why the Ford GT's in GT1 didn't/don't run stronger? The hp/tq specs of the 5.3 Roush/Yates motor are on par with the rest of the field, no? Have they been unfairly BOP'd (restricted) in the past do you think? I did remember Marc VDS having trouble getting help from Roush/Yates just before they went over to the Z4. Any thoughts?

matech team did a really good 2010 season, mutsch finished second in drivers champ behind bartels/bertolini and the team finished fifth in team champ just because only one car was able to run for the victory and score points.
The ford GT1 was one of lightest GT1 and had balanced restrictors (around 560hp in 2010 and 580hp in last races of 2010 and 2011 season) the real problem of the car during 2011 was the lack of spare parts because of matech company failure (and some door that wasn't able to remaine close during the race).
MVDS simply was never competitive in 2010 but won 3 q. race and 1 c. race in 2011 with mackowiecki in the roster; no words about belgian racing because was the MVDS satellite team.
