With the fun and games of Barbagallo clearly behind them, the Fujitsu circus travels to Townsville for the next round of proceedings

So who is going to do the deed in Townsville?

Will it be 888 & HRT taking the glory for Mr Thompson & Mr Percat... or will we see a new challenger emerge?

I suspect the #80 car will take some beating...

is the rule still in place that you can't run Fuj at Bathurst unless you have driven a couple of races previously in the same year? Convenient...

As a former series champion, perhaps allowances have been made

the rule was there to encourage teams to do the full season (at least leading up to Bathurst), rather than require them to have experience before attempting the mountain wasn't it?

McConville to Townsville driving the Eggleston VE...

What's the deal at WP? They let it 'be known' that Mr Percat didnt have the cash to run about a week before Adelaide, then the next week the car shows up with Coates Hire on the side... while last week the motorsport press picked up a story that Mr McConville didnt have the budget to run, and voila.. a new sponsor is now available!

Interesting method to get a sponsor to sign on the dotted line perhaps

In theory this is right, but also teams were selling Fujitsu rides at Bathurst to absolute novices, who had never been that fast in their lives. If they did other rounds, the drivers are at least used to the car before they hit 294km/h down Conrod...

Be interesting to see what it does roll out on, they are Bridgestones it is currently sitting on, likely just for transport.

No. BOC do love Andrew though. Had an off in Qaully and car wouldn't start.
From second last on the grid with an excluded McConville behind him. Anyone know why he was excluded?
