Heeeeeeellllllpppp !!
Does anyone out there have an 8-Injector Cosworth loom for sale....
It's the only thing left on the Escort that could possibly be causing the misfire thats kept us out so far this year -We have changed EVERY other electrical component !! Any Help appreciated !! Brian |

Can't help with the loom (sorry), but have you tried disconnecting the transponder, if it's fitted? I had a misfire once at Silverstone that I just couldn't trace. Changed just about everything. Then we disconnected the transponder, and hey presto, the car fired up with no misfire..
It was an orange MST transponder, by the way. |

Other than that I have seen those cheaper rev limiters do the same - I suggested disconnecting that on a TVR last year and it howled perfectly when the box was out of the circuit.. Am I right in thinking if you disconnected the loom at both ends it would be relatively easy to see if it was passing a current quite easily? History has shown me the problem usually lies somewhere more obvious when you've ended up swapping everything out in desperation! Cheers Stacy Cheers Stacy |

You intimated on another thread, somewhere, that you were willing to marshal at Oulton this Saturday. If this is so, please PM me, as I don't see you on the list they have sent me. |
