Petty Ford's...

Have been very fast of late - been a couple of times when all 3 drivers have been running top 10/15 at the same time...

At this stage, i am glad Mr Ambrose signed for them

On another note - how is the luck of JJ, couldve easily hit the wall on lap 34 at Charlotte, any other chase contender probably would have or got cleaned up by someone else coming through!

I'm sure Kasey Kahne would disagree with you.

Think Kasey has been shown up lately by his lesser name team-mates...

Looks like he actually was sick...although he refused to get back in the car.

"Kasey Kahne can't wait for the season to end: #9-Kasey Kahne said he felt ill Saturday night, which is why he did not finish the race at Charlotte. Kahne and Richard Petty Motorsports hit yet another rough spot Saturday night when, after his brakes failed, Kahne said he was too ill to continue the race in his damaged Ford. J.J. Yeley completed the race in Kahne's car. Kahne ran a 5k for his charity Sunday morning in downtown Charlotte, finishing that race and smiling after, saying that his stomach was still upset. He said he threw up once Saturday night and didn't feel the need to put forth the effort to get back in a car that didn't meet his standards. Kahne said it was the third time this season his brakes had failed, and second time in three races. He admitted to melting down on the radio, which led many to speculate he refused to get back in the car after his crew made repairs. "I lost it. I was just mad. I came into the race thinking we had a shot to win, thinking we had a good car in practice, we had a good shot," he said. "It went green. We were a little bit tight, but still actually passed cars and really felt good, and then boom, my brakes are gone. It's not like you have half-brakes, like you can pump them. Your foot goes to the floor. It bottoms out. It's a joke."(Yahoo Sports)(10-18-2010)"

Poor Kasey, AJ has been good in the same car. Think its a case of Kasey not wanting to be there - bring on 2011 for him...

so what are the chances of Ambrose moving prior to season end? Does JTG want Labonte in the #47 more than Ambrose?

Ironic that the Petty to Toyota rumor is around the same time as the EGR to FORDS rumor was going around. Also note that Lee Spencer (someone I don't take seriously) is the one who reported about both of these rumors.

Why? Petty (as Petty Enterprises) has run Ford, Dodge, Plymouth, Oldsmobile, Buick, Pontiac, and Chevrolet. Why is Toyota so strange? Toyota builds more cars in the US than Chrysler.
