Spa Summer Classic 2011 – The best F3 race of the year?

This weekend an event called "Spa Summer Classic" takes place at Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Among 10 other races, there's something called Spa Formula 3 Summer Classic; race that is part of MSV F3 Cup (pre 2005 cars) AND Austrian F3 Cup (pre 2008 cars).

There's a massive grid of 35 F3 cars (19 MSV (including 6 Mono2000), 16 Austria) plus 13 Austrian FR2.0 cars totalling 48 single seaters! I just wished they would have given Renaults separate races as according to a list released by Austria F3 Cup, there are 6 F3 and 4 FR more on a waiting list!

Wonder how many entries they would have if there wasn't a German F3 Cup race on the same date in Zolder...

Anyways, time table, entry lists and all other info available on the races website: http://www.roadbook.be/spasummerclassic/en/index.html

Whilst it won't be the most prestigous F3 race to take place (it is fundamentally, a club race - although there is nothing wrong with that), I suspect it will provide a high level of entertainment.

Actually a historic(classic)race so I guess this thread is in in wrong forum?-should be in historic racing today? Macau is certainly top race for current F3 cars.Screen here provided link to previous post in Historic thread reported fatal accident in 2004 Spa classic F3 race to italian driver but did not name this unfortunate-does anyone know- I don't recall it being reported at the time.
Spa classic website for this years race gives fantastic amount of detail-lists every drivers every practice time!

In that case ATS F3 and Australian F3 threads should be on the historic racing forum too.
