Ferrari's fuel rig problems

Something went wrong with both Ferrari's fuel rigs today. Does anyone know what happened exactly? It looked like there was some fuel leaked on the pitlane. (Imagine if that had happened while MS or RB were in the pits being refueled ) How did they fix it in the end? Did ITV say much about it, as I watched the race on RTE...damn, that race was awful. All I could remember was that damn fuelrig

It was only a problem for one rig, but they changed the coupling on both as a precaution.

Ferrari were just playing with everybody, trying to give them false hope. Like they did in Austria 2003 and Spain this year.

I think the mechanics were just bored, and falling asleep, so Ross told them to do something, keep busy, you know clean-up the area, sweep up, fix some hoses.

Once he got the boys to work, he took a well earned break and ate his banana...

Another tough day for the Ferrari team!

I especially liked when they poured a bag of gravel in their pit area, to simulate what might happen if one of their cars ever went off the track. Nice touch I thought!

DKGandBH has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

It did happen while RB was in the pits being refules. Some of the fuel intended for his tank went to the ground. He apparently had to come in a few laps early in the next round of stops.

They then used MS's rig for the rest of the race.

David.
