Peckstar, I think you may have under estimated the number of tissue boxes needed in this case.

Tomas. Mezera. Is. Not. A. Steward.

He's the Driving Standards Advisor. He says whether something that happens is, in his view (and within certain guidelines) worth of punishment.

The Stewards are appointed by CAMS and are like Judges. They decide who's right and wrong when there are questions regarding rules, either sporting or technical.

Here endeth the lesson.

Actually, you have to wonder why Jack Perkins is allowed to race and get in peoples' way. Good old "Chicane" Perkins.

Certainly have a go at the stewards.....being a JW fan I was surprised he didnt get a drive through...but whats the story with all the lapped/semi lapped cars mixed in with the front runners, I thought they fixed up that issue?????

think your confused with NASCAR (double file restarts, maybe its time although i think about the carnage and maybe not)

i believe now they let any cars between the safety car and the actual leader through, where as before if the leader pulled in they picked up the car that was behind him

but i do remember there was a change this year

You're all busy having a go at the Stewards, I don't think they had anything to do with this decsion. Unless a charge is brought and there is a post race hearing, this is nothing to do with the Stewards. This would have been dealt with by the DSO or the CoC or the race director.

You mean the V8's have allowed the CoC back into the decision making process at any stage? Has Tim been off with swine flu then?

Regardless of whoever's call it was (or wasn't in this case), it is bordering on corrupition when the driver with #1 on the side of his car does not get a penalty for one of the clearest cut decisions in some time. Regardless of people's opinions of Mr Perkins, he was turned around - disrupted - some (peripheral, even so) damage to his car. And I didn't think he was a lap down, I thought he was just out of synch with his pitstops and it was a positional pass? But so what? Are the cars at the back of the field less worthy of fairness and sportiness?

Its obvious that the sport has long gone from this category. Money talks, actually whinging pom team boss's talk - and fairness walks. Don't blame the trackside officials. They're not the ones who have had their palms greased... or are too scared to stand up to a whinging pom.

Having said all that, I was very happy to see Mr Courtney win in race 2. He deserved that and it was great to see some success for Dick Johnson, a true nice guy in this category. I also had a lot of respect for Mr Rogers too, who gave some words of wisdom once Lee's car came to a halt - "This game can be up and down, yes that was a down but we've also had ups of late" or words to that effect... well done.

I'll start with saying I'm not a JW or T8 fan.
A desicion was made. Right or wrong, it's done. There's nothing anybody can do about it now so why don't we all get over it.
Geez there have been plenty of bad desicions made before and I'd put money on it not being the last one either.
This is not life or death folks.

I have a line in my head about protesting them over moveable splitters, but with hindsight I've decided not to use it.
