2004 Bathurst 24hr Dates

Hi everyone
Have any dates been confirmed for the 24hr this year yet? After watching the DVD of the 2003 race last night (despite the incredibly annoying music that someone decided to include)I am now keen to go and see the real thing.
Thanks for any help
Jim

It's in November...

The DVD, though okay comes nowhere near what it's like to be there. Come, for sure.

Is there any news on whether 24hr races will be held anywhere else in Australia or even 12hr PROCAR races?

I'd think it would be an idea to run another 24hr race in Adeliade utilising the origional circut!

Or perhaps a 12hr race a kind of warm-up for the 24hr, such as what the 500 at Sandown is to the 1000 at Bathurst.

In a perfect world, that would be an awesome idea. However, the financial and resourceful stresses a 24 hour places on teams, that could be extremely difficult.

Anyways can't wait for this years race, its great to see new fans of the race planning to head there this year

jiminee do yourslf a favour & get to this years event, the sight of watching some of the world's most exotic cars go around the mountain in the early hours of the morning is something you'll never forget.

Will have to wait and see a little. The mate I want to go with is a school teacher so that might be a problem, also Bathurst is a long drive from Whyalla!
So I was thinking of flying over on Friday night and flying back Sunday night, anybody have any experience doing that? Would it be feasible? Would it be best to organise it myself or go through Motor Sport Tours or someone similar?
Thanks for any help

Last year i flew from Brisbane to Sydney & hired a vehicle in Sydney & drove out to Bathurst & then returned to Sydney on Sunday night & flew back to Brisbane on Monday morning, it worked for me & was defianately less stressful & less time consuming than drving down to Bathurst.
