Game Time

Poke and prod the spider with your mouse, also 'grab' one of its legs with your mouse and drag it around the screen -- tell me it's not alive!

Also anywhere on the floor double tap the space bar and it leaves little bugs for the spider to eat. Watch the spider go after the bugs and eat them.

This is crazy and creepy too!

Click your mouse here: http://www.onemotion.com/flash/spider/

Aviation & Space

You can spend a WHOLE LOT of time viewing the AF Museum on-line.

When you click on the "Start" a map of the museum will dominate the r/h side of the screen. The map can be closed by clicking on it but there will allways be a "Map" tab in the upper r/h corner should you get lost.

Move your cursor around the small dots (photo locations) in each hall. Start from #1 which is outside.

In each image as you pan there will be one or more `virtual blue arrows' on the floor. As you mouse over them a small caption and a number will appear. Click on the highest numbered arrow in the image to advance to the next image or you can go around in circles.

Some images have video inserts. Look for a "Play" arrow on the wall.

Good for at least an hour, maybe more depending on how long you dwell.

The only thing missing is a description of the aircraft. There was no audio in spite of the speaker image.

Amazing!

This is really incredible! It is truly amazing that someone could not only create this, but make it to change when you move your mouse / cursor.

It's real computer technology and, if you like, you can just sit back and let it change by itself.

Either way it is awesome!!! Very nice, and pure genius!

ALSO, IF YOU PUT YOUR CURSOR RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE, IT IS TRULY AMAZING.

Be sure to run your mouse over the screen slowly

Something Completely Different

Here we have a live web cam for Port Canaveral Florida, about 30 miles N of my place. There are actually several different web cams, depending upon the time of day and port activity.

Cruise ships arrive FRI, SAT & SUN ~ 06h30 (all times GMT -4hrs)

Depart the same days ~16h00

After clicking scroll down for map(s)

Also available on the screen are links to Port Everglades (Ft.Lauderdale) Florida and New York Harbor.

J. R. Eike Photography, St. Louis, Mo. 1914-1917

The image quality is excellent as these were glass plate negatives.

Unfortunately there is little other information other than the locale (St.Louis Missouri).

If the first ones don't grab you, scroll down to the "Motordrome" series for some vintage motorcycles.

At the bottom of the page there is a link to the origin of the pix.

Don't you just hate it when that happens?

These Are Pictures of Flooding After The Recent Hurricaine, "Irene". They were Taken By A Media Crew In the NE corner of the US in the State of VERMONT.

Vermont is called "The Green Mountain" state and has next to nothing in flat land.

The majority of these are along Rte. 100 from Waterbury South.

This is the crowd before a riot in Vancouver .

Put your cursor anywhere in the crowd and double-click a couple of times and then use the scroll button in the center of your mouse.

You can zero in on one single face. The clarity is unbelievable.

This is the photo taken by Port Moody photographer Ronnie Miranda that appeared in the Tri-City News 24-June.

The final hi-res file is 69,394 X 30,420 pixels or 2,110 megapixels.

This is actually scary. You can see - perfectly - the faces of every single
individual - and there were thousands!

Animal Antics

Moving video of 2 elephants reunited after 20 years. The Dallas Zoo had an elephant, also named Jenny, who was alone for 20 years after they had sent one elephant to another zoo for mating. There was talk about sending her to a zoo in Mexico , but the outcry from animal lovers prevented that. Now, finally, there are 2 more elephants. Can you imagine the loneliness these animals felt to have been isolated for so long when they are naturally loving toward all members of their troop. At least now they each have companions to spend their days with.

Jenny and Shirley were elephants at the same circus when Jenny was a calf, and Shirley was in her twenties. The two lived one winter together, but then were separated twenty-two years ago.

It's very rare for elephants to display this kind of emotion in captivity, and it's probably the first time such a thing has been documented on film.

Just remarkable! And absolutely worth the watch....
