Spa

There is certainly a shortage of Fords ?? Could do with a few more Capri`s & Escort`s.
But it is generally encouraging I think. Not long now, counting in weeks instead of months.....

More Capris would be good. Enough Escorts! And talking of the latter, collecting engine on Monday, so soon as back from Barcelona will be getting that in. Tyres ordered as well.........

Thanks Louis. Have you got a list for GT entries? Just curious!

Here is a question nothing to do with races themselves- the Blanchimont entrance tunnel is supposedly 4 metres clearance. As most trucks are exactly that or even slightly above with satellite dishes, roof vents etc., what is real height in tunnel? Will be first time through with mine, so don't want to get jammed in it!

AHA! The 'young' Mr Mallett has it sorted 3.91 to give 4 Mtrs clearance? sounds ok. Although if you are right on the limit Mike you will need to check as you go through. I have heard of guys 'pinching an inch' by letting their tyres down?

After the tunnel collapse and repair in 2010 I remember Eddy V posting that Michelin had got their truck stuck trying to get through, and had to let tyres down to get it out! Am sure since then when I have queued up for 6hr meeting entry, that trucks have gone through. There is a little that can be done, as rear tractor suspension and trailer suspension can be lowered a small amount, but would be good to know exactly what the clearance is!

Peter- Young? Think you must have confused him with someone else.....

Thanks Robert. I see France and UK are are as decisive on height as they are on other things- "Not defined"!

So if trucks are built to the limit of 4.0 metres height how do they get through a tunnel of 4 metres! Especially if there is a ramp down and up again........

One Spa map shows tunnel height at 6m, another 4m.

The trucks we had at CMS always used to fit easily. As the Enduro teams didn't seem to have any problems, you could assume that your truck fits as well.

Interesting looking through the entry list,a certain HB being entered in Grp 2 Capri,be able [hopefully to let him know if his original axle works at Spa]
