Although the 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR looks similar to the 2011, the cars are almost completely different in their balance and handling. The setups that the team used last year no longer apply to the new Porsche. Although you could run last year's tires on this year's car, it's probably not the ultimate set up. I'm not sure about Dunlop, but both Falken Tire and Michelin created a taller front tire to better suit the new car (or tame the RSR, as Derrick puts it).
