Steve Gibson should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I would think more than there is safe room for but the ultimate question is How many will be there for the clubbie meetings later in the year!

Didnt take long for the marshal bashing to begin i see. Its just one of those things that happen and you have just got to get on with it. I personally marshal nearly all of the BTCC events along with many many clubbies. Just have to travel a great distance regardless of where I marshal at

I don't think you should see it as 'marshal bashing'. BTCC is one of those things that seems to divide the community quite sharply between those who wouldn't go near it and those who love it. Don't be put off and if that's your 'thing' go, enjoy and stay safe and the rest of us will either go to a clubbie meeting or stay at home and watch you on TV.

Signed up for it, but will take a look at numbers on the list, and see if my services might be better applied elsewhere. Which configuration are they using for this one?

If it's like last year then the first meeting could be busy but we were short on numbers for the last meeting on the GP circuit.

Donno on the Saturday for the Motors Live meeting and North Weald for the 7Oaks and District MC sprint on the Sunday. If you want an alternative then get in touch with 7Oaks. I am sure they will really appreciate any help. Doing BTCC later in the year at Rockingham.

Amended timetable now out. (Due to the F.renault championship being cancelled)
http://www.brandshatch.co.uk/media/7...h_31032012.pdf

Sat starts 0930, ends just after 1700
Sun starts 1020, ends after final BTCC race that has 1705 start time
(that's not going to be fun getting out)
full one hour lunch break both days.

Whats the odds we still have to be on post at early o'clock.

More to the point, I hope the clerks will be implementing the MSA race committee's guidance on track limit breaches in all sessions.

I will be there, and as for attending the clubbies? well, I would have been there this weekend but for a calendar clash with the band, but I'll be up for plenty of others for the rest of the season.

I'm in both days. I know there's going to be a rediculous amount of marshalls, the queue for signing in will stretch all the way to clearways, 45mins of the hour lunch break will be spent queuing for food, there's no Formula Renault, but we still get the best seats in the house and do what we love doing.

I'm going, tickets arrived today. I'm sure that there were more marshals last year, I could be wrong.

So long as everyone has a good time and stays safe it's all good!!

There are, if my quick count was correct, 44 flaggies to share around the 12 posts.

I'm uhming and ahhing about whether to go, and just enjoy the opportunity to spectate half the time, or going instead to another meeting, where I can "Be a part of the action!"
On the one hand, if I wanted to spectate, I'd buy a ticket, on the other, there'll be a few familiar faces on the campsite to catch up and share a bevvy with. I'm sure Roger could manage with only 43 flaggies, so that wouldn't be an issue.
