If Christian Jones is the driver, ill buy an airfare to the first round in the UK and personally kick Alan Jones in the face. Why choose Christian Jones when he can choose drivers like Will Davidson, Will Power, James Courtney etc etc... complete utter madness.

On a side note, is anyone else going the A1GP at Eastern Creek? Cause I sure as hell am!

Paying for what?

A1GP does not need pay drivers... they have enough money. What they need is world class drivers competing against one of them, and I'm sorry, but I along with many others do not class Christian Jones as a world class driver.

The team has to buy the franchise.

I dont see that being a issue for Australia though, I mean ok Australia doesent have the money the UK or USA has for example but it certainly has more than enough to buy a franchise in A1 GP. IMO.

Christian is the driver doing all the driving at the moment...
He is in the lower 1/4 (as in slower) of the times.

DKGandBH
But he is faster than Jos!

At the launch there was Christian Jones, Will Davison and Karl Reindler.

Now it seems pretty obvious Jones will have one of the seats, and more than likely Will Davison the other. But a 3rd??

As on monday another Australian will fly to Europe to test the A1 cars. He will be driving at Philip Island, so ill go down and have a chat to him.

Just to clear up a misunderstanding I've seen a few times in relation to A1GP - there is only one car per team.

Thanks for the link - interesting. I still think James Courtney should be given a run, though.

Are you postive about that? One car can be shared amongst two drivers then. As India has two confirmed drivers Karun Chandhok and Armaan Ebrahim. Great Britain have 2 confirmed aswell as Netherlands, Pakistan, CHina, Malaysia. I think you hvae the option of running a maximum of 2 cars?

Nope - only one car per team.

However, as points are awarded to the team and not the driver, two or three drivers is certainly an option to the teams.

No - it is one car per team.

However, the countries score points, rather than the driver.

Britain will use two drivers over the season, that is true.

Some other countries like India and the Netherlands have announced a lead driver and a reserve driver.

Theres one car for qualifying and the races but in Friday practice they have 2 cars. They can swap drivers between races too.
