Just had a quick glince at the A1GP site and discovered that one Stephen Watson is the serieses's "General Manager". As they say "Stephen Watson, a former F3000 driver and F1 test driver, is General Manager and will be providing his considerable knowledge of top class motorsport to the operations of A1 Grand Prix".
Well, I'm very glad to hear it! I queued up for his autograph at the Motor Show in Birmingham in 1998, not actually knowing who he was, to be honest, but he was there with the Arrows team, so I assumed he would be going on to bigger and better things in 1999. I got my autographed Arrows baseball cap and went home happy, and then he promptly disappeared off the face of the motor-racing earth.
So, does anyone want to buy a slightly dusty Arrows baseball cap autographed by the General Manager of A1GP?
