I stood and watched the marshal's at work in the top paddock at the weekend and I have to say they are very organised and professional. It was a pleasure to watch.

I'd like to thank everyone for promptly returning their radio's
Made my life a lot easier, and was appreciated by those on high.

If the campsite is up top again next year i'll collect them from the top as
most of you found it seemed to find it easier.

Maybe i should change my name to Radio Dude for this thread.

Lets hope not, as this year it's been done Goodwood's way.
The footage is Goodwoods not ITV's.
86 country's have the chance to get the footage this year not just ITV.
So it's all a new way of doing things.

If you were posh enough you could record it onto a DVD and send it, although have to admit I'm still running with the magnetic tape.

Not wanting to hijack the thread but ceasing the opportunity. I went to FOS 1st time this year, had an amazing day and hat off to all the marshalls who seemed to have everything under control, my Question= campsites, I noticed a few tents on entering and as I want to take some friends from up north next year for the whole weekend, are these campsites open to the public?

Your best bet is to check on the Goodwood website for camping details www.goodwood.co.uk The marshals campsite was at the top of the hill, close to the rally stage, and I dont remember seeing too many others around. There is another camp site near the main gate for the trade stand holders I believe.

An enjoyable weekend was had by all on the new Goodwood FOS Forest Rally stage too, I beleive it is an important move forward to include Rallying in its natural environment at such a prestigious motorsport event.(Some of us tangoes also love rallying too !!)

You have no idea how nostalgic i felt when i went up to the rally stage - seeing all those iconic cars including my personal favourite (Lancia Delta) was awesome. Such a great idea to include rallying and nice to see it well supported too, it can only grow and get better!

Hepatic, I agree, the sight and sounds of the Group B cars was amasing, my favaroites however were, the Mk2 Rothams escort, Mr Dodd in his Hyundai and the awesome Peugeot cosworth of Andy Burton. However hat off to all of the drivers, an excellent display which hopefully will be complimented by the WRC teams next year.

whatever happens team circuitmarshal.com will be there in full support !!!

All the Best, Simon.

Couldn't find any details on camping, will have to make the drive each day for next year, not too bad from selondon.
Watching the coverage on ITV now and it's very good. Looking forward to 2006 already.
