Shame on RSR for even making this an issue, but isn't 115% of the class leader the minimum qualifying time? Maybe my math is really off, but I think the #99 is within that. In fact, there were a couple of GT cars that were even slower than the #99 that were not penalized.

You're right, the #44 Lizard & Robertson #40 were slower! Strange one alright!

Big news from Mosport is that in warmup Edward Sandstrom crashed the Abruzzi and it resulted in big damage on the left front, not sure how this will affect their race today.

As for times, Muscle Milk continues to dominate.

Yeah this is scotty's track. He has been evil good here through the years. I i remember correctly this is one of the tracks where he actually passed other P2 cars back in the hotly contested '08 season.

It means that a Jag has a chance to get in front of them on pace....maybe.

9.3 All nominated drivers shall, in each car in which they are nominated:
9.3.1 Take part in a minimum of one official practice session under pain of Exclusion;
9.3.2 Achieve the minimum qualifying time

The issue isn't the fastest time in qualifying, but the fact that one driver didn't do a quick enough time in practice or quali.

Now, the Dyson cars can switch to the fast drivers, and they're still on the lead lap.

The Panoz had pulled a nice gap on the Jags, and I think maybe was still on the same lap as the GT leaders. We'll have to see.

And both Dysons seem to have missed the opportunity, while Luhr and Cytosport blew it somewhat as well, since they'll probably be right near the back when it goes green.

Cytosport say that the pit lane was only opened when they had gone by. If that's true, race control should have sorted that out before going green again and if necessary, allowed the Aston to go to the front of the line.
