An interesting couple of German Cavalier conversions here. Expensive conversions...

Very nice, but both are out of my price range.

And it's a shame they have used that awful Racing Replicas bodyshell!

I suppose they didn't have alot of choice. The only other Cavalier model i can think of in mk3 guise is a gama bodyshell, i have a road car version of it, and its not as good as the Racing replicas model, not even close to be honest.

Bit ot but I've noticed a rather smart Pagine Gialle liveried 155TS from HPI. I guess this was the car Tamburini pedalled in the 1992 or '93 ITCC?

That's a definite collectors special and nice to see HPI taking advantage of their 155 BTCC release to produce other liveried versions too.

Have been offered a 1/43 Lammers Volvo by HPI. It's so long since I bought a BTCC car that I am our of the loop. Can anyone advise what this car should be worth?

New they seem to be anything from £35 up to £50 depending on where/when you find them. On fleabay it's obviously a bit more random but I picked mine up for just under £20.

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I paid £50 for the HPI Alfa Tarquini and HPI Volvo Rydell, both well worth it! It seems you can get them cheaper though, but I prefer to buy from retailers when I can can.

Bought my two HPI models (850 + Alfa) from eBay, (i dont buy from retail as a rule too expensive) the Volvo was £45, and the Alfa £25, however the Alfa is the BTCC presentation version.

I suppose 30 - 45 quid is a rough guide for a BTCC - HPI model.

Two things to remember.. All new releases attract a high price! As the BTCC SEAT of Adam Jones has proved. Unless it is a real rarity and you can wait, buy them at a price that is sensible..

And secondly, If you are happy paying the price at the time, as Alfa Fan says, they are worth it!

The Steven Kane version is now pictured on the Leyland Paints website as a competition prize. From the picture it doesn't look that good Could just be a bad picture. Hopefully these will become more generally available.

I think that was more to do with the perception of exclusivity rather than just because it was a new release. I certainly wouldn't have placed a bid of £55 for it had I known there were going to more in about a month or so! (Should start appearing in the next week or so going by PDS' estimate)

I have it on good authority that the Adam Jones LEON will be avaliable to buy in Spain next week.

So not long now before you see them for sensible money on e-bay!

BTW the original price in Spain is 12.99 Euros.

Have you actually checked???

I was quoted 10.50 euro postage

Plus 20 euro, the going price for the model = 30.50 euro total. At todays exchange rate = £25.87.

That's cheaper than a Minichamp or a Spark model.

Is the new Seat only avaliable from Spain then?

I might get one, but am in no rush to add the newer models to my collection, i need to concentrate on finding one or two Onyx models to finish that side of my BTCC collection first.
