even if I'll have to contradict myself, I'll agree. Someone mentioned Mosport in an earlier post. From the CAN-AM round preceding St.Jovite, at Mosport, there's a report in the same issue of 'R & T' which describes a fatal accident in the friday practice. Dick Brown, from Birmingham, Michigan, apparently lost control of his homebodied McLaren M6B on the fast back straight, left the track at speed, and succumbed as the car disintergrated around him. Death was attributed to a broken neck. A not unlikely result, watching the violence in force when the car leaves the track. |

Dick Brown died as a result of leaving the track to the right hand side and impacting on a dirt bank. There was not a mark on him but the car was scattered over at least 125 meters. This happened on the back straight just before the hump.
I was there , photographed the wreck, published in the Globe and Mail and got into trouble with the advertisng agency as the goodyear tire was prominentely shown in the picture. I also did the photo in the goodyear advertising. To Goodyears credit the Canadian president phoned the sports editor on monday and apologized. |

That's most definetely Lime Rock Park, with the camera stationed on the outside of West Bend. The track has since been modified with a chicane at the crest of the hill to force the cars to slow down as they approach the top. It used to be very easy to get ANY car off the ground there, even Formula Vee's and Formula Fords. I've got a picture somewhere with me in an FF circa 1976 with 3 inches of daylight showing under all 4 tires.
My memory may be way off, but I think that it was Redman who pulled that moonshot shown in the pictures (then again, it may have been him at Tremblant instead!). |

DNQ wrote, "I believe the site is no longer in existence" which is false, my site is still in existence but i did remove the video AFTER this post was made, not prior.
I dumped that video to mpeg from a vhs tape, so thanks for not crediting me. If anyone wants the original video as mpeg then mail tbk@globalteam.dk and i will put it up on my website for you. // TBK- |

Apologies TBK, I left your site out because I know that you are rather short on bandwith - I thought If I linked to the site you might be a little angry with all the bandwith taken up by users of this forum - that explains why I put it up to my web server. Sorry about that mate. Oh, and welcome to ten-tenths
By the way, do you know where the location of this crash is? |
