Johnny Mowlem mentioned on Sky Sports that he would be testing an F430, yet racing an Aston Martin at Mosport.
Not sure what that's about, since he's driving the Ferrari. Darren Turner is unavailable due to BTCC commitments. |

From first practice it seems like the Porsche need more ballast, the Audi a little less and the Aston a good bit more. |

I'm sorry, but this is frustrating. It's tough to tell who is on pace by merrit or if it's by the grace of IMSA. Dyson have always gone well here, yet the car is light so it should be fast. Especially here. And Mosport is a track that I would expect the Astons to be fast on. So they are leading, but is it the car, or the adjustments?

I'm sure it will be a good race anyway despite my poor joke. Although I guess that is the point of 'tweaking' it. Anyway, things we can compare;
In Friday's practice Luhr is ahead of Maassen -maybe they can still share the title! The Ferraris seem to have the advantage at this early uncompetitive stage. The new pairing of Ortelli and Mowlem lead the way. |

If you look on the "TV Guide UK" it is OK. Maybe a problem converting between CET and BST? http://motorstv.autodeclics.com/site...sel=1157238000

Once again my housemates have hogged the TV so I will be missing ALMS live. Oh well such is life I will be following the webcast radio and live timing but I was wondering if the race was broadcast online too.

Get new house mates!
We never got a good view of the Aston Corvette coming together on the last corner of the warm up lap. Pirros first lap was very good and since then they are lining up behind Leitzinger. |

Easy for you to say . Finding fellow motorsports fans to house share with is like finding a needle in a haystack in my experience.
Back on topic...where are Messrs Melo and Salo for Risi? |

The scrolling scoreboard has disappeared because we are in an (American) ad break. I'll have a look on live timing...
Dindo got a good tow and cruised past into the lead. Easy. However he then messed up a couple of corners later. Not off track, but he is back to second. |

It is 911, 911, 430. The Ferraris seem to be trying to run a cautious race.

Did I just hear right? Creation to do the last ALMS round? Fantastic if its true!!! Dyson beware! Howabout RML do the same, I'd love to see how they stack up against the Spyders.

Weaver says it might rain. Asked if it is good or bad he said "terrible".
Commentators have said that they have TC, but they don't want to run it. They will not run it even in the wet. |

Change of lead. A good pass.
The Risi has just tried to put Tiemann's Posche into the pit wall! A replay shows that the Risi initially had a big lunge into the last corner. |

It's a shame that IMSA decided to end the race one lap early and convieniently hand Audi their coveted championship. One more lap and I think Guy would have either a) passed McNish for the win or b) been wrecked by McNish while going around him for the win.
Looks like Dyson may have finally found their speed, but they still can't shake the bad luck. |

Great race start to finish on a good fast flowing track.
The two things that really struck me were: - The difference between LMP1 and LMP2 over race distance now seems to have been struck. The Audis and Lolas are faster than the RS Spyders. - Biela and Pirro were anonymous throughout - did they have some form of race long problem? Were they compromised by setting up for a wet race? Or were the two Dysons and McNish/Capello genuinely faster on the day? |
