Silverstone HSCC and BRSCC
Hi All,
Just wondered who is coming this weekend? Had an email from Penny and sounds like we are going to be very low on numbers. Exciting to have 2 meetings at the same time. See you at breakfast on saturday |

do you want to take the HSCC or the BRSCC? one marshal per meeting is perfectly reasonable right?

I am down for the BRSCC meeting on the International Circuit using the new pits, six Caterham races, two Jedi and a Saloon Car race. Not a bad day's sport

Information from Penny - All marshals will be signing on in the paddock bar with HSCC on the Left and BRSCC on the right.
As this is the first time we will be running both circuits we will be keeping the bar open on Saturday night until about 7.30pm and drink vouchers will be given out at sign on. Please remember unlike when the GP circuit is running Becketts Link road will be closed and the only access to the South end of the circuit will be over Hangar Bridge. As we are manning both circuits numbers are very tight for this Saturday therefore this weekend more than any other please let me know in as far in advance as possible if you can’t make it as running 2 sign on’s will leave very little time to try and shuffle people on the morning and may leave some posts very short. Thank you for your help with this. Penny Norris Marshals and Events Administrator |

Shame I can't make this one, sounds like it could be interesting, specially if you're posted at Becketts outside (National) or what used to be Island (International). Just remember which circuit you're meant to be covering!!

So, what's the verdict?
It seemed rather imbalanced to me - a lot more folk opted for HSCC, was it the extra fiver at sign-on that made the difference? I got a bit of both as I assisted on the taster day AM which was based on the National (HSCC) and then went out to play on the Abbey pit straight for BRSCC in the afternoon. Pretty full grids in both locations, and similar race durations, so was it simply down to the choice of cars to play with? |
