Apparently they haven't got permission to use the BMW logos and such, something that's been rumoured for a long time but not many have believed it. But the BMW decals on the body confuses me. TBH, I don't like the looks of the "BMW" at all, first time I think I've said that about a BMW. Might change whe we see it out on track and not in a showroom with its speial lightening.
The S60 body looks beautiful, but the livery is aweful and boring. Dahlgren and Rustad will race the black one, while Ekblom and Björk will race a Polestar blue car each. There will also be other liveries on the other cars, like Team Tidö etc. |

Just been looking at the TTA website... In the Team Profiles, the car is called "BMW Silhouette Replica"
It just seems strange, either BMW should have allowed them to badge it as a BMW, or not backed the project at all. A BMW Dealer Team running a "BMW Silhouette Replica" just seems weird. |

This is how the badge on the WCR car looks like: http://www.teknikensvarld.se/Global/...b-Volvo-06.jpg
WCR are a BMW Dealer Team, but as BMW Sweden said in a Swedish automotive magazine, BMW are mostly interested in their GT racing programme with the M3 GT4 and Z4 GT3. But now they are using it for the TTA car as well, and I'm not sure what BMW thinks about that since they couldn't give permission to badge the TTA car properly. TTA has been good at confusing us with these sort of things, as Citroen has shown us |

I wonder why BMW blocked this.... there's a bunch of BMW silhouettes in France and Belgium and neither has to be that far removed from the original.
I get not using the badges, but the grill makes it almost unrecognizable... I guess TTA being rather higher profile than VdeV or BTCS might play into it, but that doesn't mean that I have to like it. Maybe they'll change their mind once there is a BMW engine available down the road. Other than that, I really like the look of the cars, very clean, yet aggressive. |

Very odd indeed, though the car looks good. It still amazes me they chose the E92 though, the F30 would be a much better choice. Also very odd that they're using the 2-door model while the rest of the field uses 4-door saloons. Dissapointing car, but nonetheless a great field!

The Volvo and SAAB look very nice. Don't like the Citroen (livery) and BMW (front and livery).
The BMW situation is very odd. Doesn't make sense to have BMW decals on the car but no BMW front. Citroen and Brovallen are friends again? |

"WestCoast Racings car is a BMW and its oficially allowed to be called that from BMW Motorsport. Although its taking longer time to get approval for the logo and front grill." I guess they are hoping to get the approval before the season starts. Since the body's have just recently been finalised all paperwork isnt ready yet. The point Citroen made was that Brovallen is not an official Citroen approved "factory team", to officially represent Citroen, in the same way as WCR is the official BMW Dealer Team. However, Brovallen has got support from most Citroen dealers in Sweden, but not from Citroen HQ, so to say. Last edited by PorscheFanNo1; 28 Apr 2012 at 12:14. |

The WCR BMW looks pretty odd from the front.
More like a Nissan 350 then a BMW. Looks like the body does not really fit the frame , different size. |

Maybe because they didn't ask BMW and it's more low profile?

Apparently DTM is interested in running up to four joint races in the future. Also Jan Nilsson claims there's a lot of interest from other countries to run TTA spec cars.

Just thinking out loud, but the Solution-F-cars could perhaps save the ITR's bacon for their planned US-offshot. Right now it seems like they have a hard time drumming up the money for a full field, but if they go for two classes - one for DTM and one for 'DTM light' - as Flash likes to call it -it might be easier to get a full grid, with the lower running costs for Solution F and all...

They pushed a lot harder than that today at Anderstorp. IMHO it's going to be awesome!

The 4th Citreon C5, erm sorry 'Brovallen Design', driver is due to be announced today. Maybe. Anyone got any ideas? Whomever it turns out to be, they will have missed out on the two test days so may find it hard to be up to speed straight away. My guess is Tobias Johansson.
