PJ Chesson is not entered at Texas...only 19 cars in the field...

I apologize to all....

There are no Panoz chassis in this race this week...

Rahal has switched to Dallaras for the ovals...

Thus, you do not need to enter a pick for the "Top Panoz Qualifier"

If the Mods would like to edit that out of the template, I would appreciate it.

I'll keep the "Top Dallara" in there for this event, but for future ovals, I will not include those pick items.

Thanks!

Contest has been closed for a few hours now....

You didn't enter, Marcus???

BTW...

Fo rthe ovals, I'm going to change up the last entry for points (from here onward) to make it the "Speed for the Slowest Qualifier" for the ovals ONLY, UNLESS A PANOZ WOULD BE ENTERED ON AN OVAL, since it seems as though only Dallaras will race on the ovals from now on.....

I don't think the person who picks the Pole winner should get 6 pts just because he/she picked one spot correctly....

As if you couldn't tell, I'm trying to make all of us follow what is going on in the Series, and I'm trying to make you think...thus the "Milestones" (looking at pit stops and yellows), the "mover" (Someone doing race set-up due to budget, or skills of the driver on a given circuit), and someone who may be a decent qualifier, but not necessarily strong in the race ("Fall from Grace"), given the circuit....

Picking a "Pole" contest and a "Top Five" contest is Chinese Checkers....

Playing my "Pick 'Em" contest is the "Star Trek Three-Dimensional Chess Game" that makes you earn it....at least it tries to be...and you can mke up points where you may have lost them in other areas by looking at the entire field and making choices...

If you have categories that you would like for me to add to this mix, I'll do it...

It is YOUR contest...not mine...I just set up the templates and keep score...

Who knows, though...someone may run a Panoz at Richmond, Milwaukee, or Nashville....so I want the flexibility....

Sorry for the small sermon....but I enjoy this...I hope you do, too, and I hope that it enhances your appreciation of the Series...as wel as your interest in what is going on throughout the field during a race...

Because that is why I REALLY do this...I love it...

Here ae your Qualifying Results:

Tim, DrDisque & Flavinha all picked Hornish for the Pole for 2 pts.

OpenWheel4Ever was Closeest to the Pole speed for 2 pts.

Always first and DrDisque had 7 pts in the top 6 with 5 of 6 and 2 correct...Tim & OpenWheel had 5 0f 6 with one correct for 6 pts., and Flavinha had 4 of 6 with one corect for 5 pts.

I counted Giaffone and Lazier for teh slowest and OpenWheel and AlwaysFirst both got 2 pts..

Tim, DrDisque & Flavinha all picked Hornish as Top Dallara for 2 pts.

(Now you see why I'm going to change this for Ovals if a Panoz will not compete....)

Totals after Qualifying:

1. DrDisque - 11 pts.
2. Tim - 10 pts.
(Tie) AlwaysFirst - 10 pts.
(tie) OpenWheel - 10 pts.
5. Flavinha - 8 pts.

Good Luck Saturday!!!

Yes, Tim

For my part, I really love to make my pics and see a race (unfortunately I watch IRL with Timing Live because I don't have a TV channel...

But I love the Series and I find so nice to have a Pick Em forum.

Great idea, Tim, so nice
