we have made some serious progress with PEA this last week or so . . . it actually looks like a Cortina again now. whole new front end on, repaired wings, restored inner wing and retro fitted an original battery tray . . . cage and paint next (expensive bits!)
looks like work will stop for a little while as I've run out of money . . . but hopefully restart in the very near future. ie when I've earnt some/sold something! |

It's not incredibly obvious 'live' but I noticed in one of the shots that the car is 3 wheeling so I would guess that the handling is giving some confidence. |

You obviously never attended any of the earlier auctions Mike, it was THE place for getting rid of rubbish that had been bodged with chicken wire and plaster.Had the "pleasure" of restoring a Avenger "Tiger" that wasn, t really what the vendor claimed.

I checked the F&M web site and searched for marmalade but didn't find one with beer. Other drinks, but not beer. It did list a few bottles of expensive wine for some reason. Not a bad start to the day, I suppose, for those who can afford them. But then such folk may not be thinking of marmalade as a morning time comestible. |

Probably a bit early yet for it to be listed then. I'll have to pop down to the Co-op and get a couple of jars of their 45p 'Orange Marmalade', warm it up, add a can of something and see how it comes out. Just a quick concept test whilst waiting for the proper thing you understand. Can one pre-order from F&M? |

Dalemain is also the venue for the Cumbria Classic & Motorsport Show on August 17th. The Show, now in its 26th years, will feature 90 years of MG and Lotus Legends this year. There is usually around 600 cars on display plus autotests and arena displays. It's run by the Wigton Motor Club - MSA Motor Club of the Year.
It's the 250th anniversay of Earl Grey's birth and there are celebrations of that at his monument in Newcastle. He acheived a lot but is best remembered for his tea! |

OK, I know a couple of regular contributors to this thread will know this, so can someone help me out?
Now that Mallory is open for business again, does anyone know the cost for a day testing (car, obviously!)? I also believe that cars will be on alternate Wednesdays, from March the 5th - is that correct? Thanks in advance chaps. |

Thanks all!
After a bit of searching, I found the contact details for the circuit, so I emailed them for confirmation: £250 full day/£150 half day (if paid in advance) & £270/£170 (if paid on the day). So... Delta, are you getting some kind of 'personal service' for the extra? I think we deserve to know! |
