Who do you consider the very best national racing driver ? By that I don't mean BTCC, GT or F3 - but one make drivers, historic drivers, club drivers, etc.

Stretton certainly is a good driver - stood at the bottom of Paddock last year, watching him 6 (!) wheel drift the Tyrrell around there as he drove off into the lead was something else

Barrie "Whizzo" Williams for me,

closely followed by Gerry Marshall and Alan Minshaw.

Although Martin Stretton and Peter Hardman are truly brilliant too.

Gerry Marshall for me too.

I think a certain someone should be called Barrie 'Elbows' Williams after the unprovoked attack to my ribs at Autosport this year! Right Tim?!

Thank you Marcus, you are way too kind. Perhaps I might suggest Wayne Wakefield.

Why thank you.

My list?

Gerry M, Barry Williams, Skid Scarborough, Barry Sidery-Smith, Malcolm Beer, Nigel Garrett.

Having raced against them and been "blown away" by some (but not all) I can tell you that they are among the best around.

BTW. The car is now in the loving care of Boxridge and it should re-appear before the end of the season.

Retired? Me? With MY reputation?
