I don't know the correct answer, Evo, but I'll humour you. Could it be Robbie Francevic? Graham Crosby? Neville Crichton, maybe? Jim Richards? Greg Murphy. Jeez, there's bun a lot of thum.

Listening around at the racetrack, I would have to say in past days my namesake was or Dick from Qld, but in current times, probably the current owner of HRT.

Yeah but My answer is based on a combination of my age and my experiences with that person.

Besides did you note that I was restrained enough to say the name. IN keeping with the tounge in cheek nature of the thread that is

Mike, I'm sensing a pattern here...... you wouldn't happen to be an anti-Lowndes fan too (read Holden Fan)

Actually I think I should scrub this topic, I just remembered the reponse of a driver within the last couple of days, lets change it to Who you like and why?

I have punished myself to a 1 hour drive home of 22kms in Auckland traffic on a wet night. I hope this is suffecient to apease everyone.

Actually I am not an anti lowndes fan. I actually like the guy. You are right I am a Holden fan but that is not the reason for the people I dislike. I started disliking them when they were in Holdens.

Don't scrub the topic, just yet Mike. So long as everyone continues to play nice, and make with the tounge firmly planted in cheek...... well this is kinda funny.

And as for the two you dislike, hmmm, then I can add another to my list; Hello 5minute Spud

Yes, the boy you're voting in for Prime Minister.

Oh and just checking here, you do understand the least popular type I'm referring to is a Red team driver, not a Blue Boy that I haven't played so nice with recently???? And that's despite me being a Holden fan.

And as for 5 minute spud, having met the guy and having had regular e-mails with him, he is not as bad as he appears. OK he gets a little hot under the collar, but wouldn't you if you were busting fro a pee that badly

The problerm with a question like this is - personalities.

Over the years, different drivers have gotten 'fame' for all the wrong reasons - everyone remembers Jim Richards 'oputburst' (I noticed someone mentioned him at the top) but I would have to say that Jim is possible the friendliest driver there has been in touring car racing in this country - that was the ONLY time I have ever seen him swear.

Some drivers will be disliked because they are 'agressive' on the track, some like to try and win at all costs, some take their brains out and pout their helmets on - all sorts of reasons.

Then there are the off track actions of some (personally after seeing how one former world champion treated 2 kids - at different times - asking for his autograph, I decided he wasn't worth the air he was breathing)

A contentious question....

Missed what, the not playing so nice, or the red team driver that I can't stand???? Or maybe it was the five-minute spud reference???

I whole heartedly agree, having met Jim also he is a thoroughly good bloke. Despite his many years abscence as a resident of NZ I remember him walking up to my father some 10 years ago and saying "Gidday" to him and actually remembered his name. Despite it being many years since he was at Auckland Car Club with my father. He also invited us to join him for lunch with the team.
