Three Wishes

OK. As a bit of light-hearted fun, pretend that I am your Fairy Godfather and I can grant three wishes related to being a Marshal. What would they be?

Mine are 1. A free cooked breakfast, 2. Choice of posting and 3. A coffee pot on each post.

  1. Come to Oulton for a club bike meeting and you get a free breakfast everytime.
  2. Within reason, at Oulton, you can choose your post.
  3. Sorry don't drink coffee, however, a kettle, Tbags etc would do the trick

For me
  1. Toilets on every post
  2. Adequate dry stowing provision for everybody's gear
  3. Adeqaute shelter on post if there is a heavy downpour and thew proceedings are brought to a halt

2. Bernie Ecclestone retires
3. Expenses incurred in the pursuit of marshalling become tax deductable - including air fares!

Why should there be Observers from Hell?" They're no different/better than any other marshal, so they should not assume that they are!

Incident Maybe, the flags and Observers are normally pre-allocated to ensure a fair rotation of all posts.

My three wishes:

1: IO's who do not think they are super-heroes
2: Clerks that would take notice of Observers reports
3: That Anglesey was closer

2) Some assistance towards travelling expenses

3) Some incidents to deal with! If i just wanted to watch, I'd spectate, but i want to get my hands 'dirty'

Are you incinerating that Brands Observers are from Hell? Some of us apear arogant and distant to keep the fan worship to a minimum!

But seriously folks, If anyone comes across a rude, arrogant, distant, or just plain "not nice" Brands Observer, PM me and I'll make enquiries. For too long Brands has had a reputation for aloof, clique-y marshals. It must stop, and education is so much better than a smack in the mouth!

Can't quite decide the order of the first two but here goes....

1. Nice warm weather with a nice cloud cover to stop sun burn.

2. Nice clean toilets that never run out of loo roll and have locks on the door, isn't easy keeping my foot on the door when I'm only 5ft 2.

3. To have a nice day where everything runs smoothly - everyone getting on, no moaning and no flying haggis........

Oh, just thought of more, hubbies a marshal too so I'll use his 3 wishes as I effectively own them anyway....

1. Please can we have some secure camping areas at all tracks!
2. Food - nice greasy breakfast
3. Paths behind the tyre wall that are safe to run along whilst dragging a fire extingusher.

Right, think that's it this time.......

1. Clubs work together to ensure no clash of meetings (e.g if there is a car meeting at Donington then there should be a bike meeting at Mallory and vice versa)
2. Circuits work together to ensure no clash of meetings
3. MSA impose rules to ensure that there are never, ever, two meetings in the same region on the same day.
