MK1 Twincam Escort Coil over shock spring height

Hello all,

I am about to purchase some group 4 front coil over struts for my MK1 twincam escort and don't know what spring height to get.

They range from 7" to 14" in height and also was thinking about 250LB's rate.

Can someone please advise me what spring height would be an inch or so lower than standard.

I am doing some track days and club stuff with the car if that helps with spring rate.

thanks
