the youth should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Nothing wrong with cheque book racing, I paid £126 for my race car (paid cash tho!) ...20.000 cheques later it's getting there!
Motorsport costs money and to be at the front costs even more, that's life you get out of racing what you want to and for me like most it's enjoyment.
All the cars on the grid cost a lot of money to the owner some more than others but who cares I don't!
If I was given a big cheque to spend on anything would I buy a top spec super tourer ??? Too right I would!
In fact it would be this one!!

Think the Knockhill event is a bit rough , will it be 2 entries?? eg £600, be a pain if u have an issue and cant race sunday ,loosing your entry fee for the sunday

clive for that event because it is classed as 2 separate events if you have to pull out on the Saturday i'm sure some if not all your Sunday fee will be returned, they may be an admin fee taken off it

Dan I would like to pay for my new engine, I just can't get the builder to build it!

cheque book racing

steve the mondeo looks to be at a good price for what you get and the original build cost but its the maintainence and up keep that scares me.

a super tourer
aussie v8
g55
any ex touring car
a very well put together cossie"escort"
would all be on my list maybe for next year

also toyed with the idea of one make series like vw cup that phil house does.

Pete been there with most of the cars you mention

Supertourer. To fragile and hard to get parts for we're dirt cheap 3/4 years ago . Went to look at a Mondeo same as one mentioned lovely car and was only 25 k but the bloke was honest and told me I'd never be able to run one when I explained how I role

Escort cossy this is what I bought instead of supertourer of A1 rally sport this one of the best Cosworth escorts in the country well put together etc but so unreliable it only ran twice without problems as most seem to do when there running close to 500bhp

Aussie v8 ill let you know next year but hoping it will be reliable .

Remember Andy, there is no such thing as too much torque - just weak bolts!

It'll be reliable.....

In case you dont know, the knockhill rounds is a cockup in the regs, its only 2 rounds over the weekend. 1 round 1 direction on the Saturday, 1 round the opposite direction on the Sunday.
And yes motor racing is expensive, some people are prepared to spend more than others.
Does everyone live in the same size house and have the same car on the drive...
